How do I apply?

If you are interested in applying for a position, click here to download our Application Form. Please note that initial application for all vacancies can be by CV, but we will always require an application form to be completed during the recruitment process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I just send you my CV?

Yes. As you can imagine, we receive lots of applications every week, so ensure that your skills and experiences are clearly laid out. Please ensure you state clearly which position you are applying for and the location when emailing your CV. If you do this we can easily review your expertise to see if you'll be invited to the next stage of the selection process. Ultimately it allows us to assess everyone quicker and more efficiently. You will be required to complete an application form at some stage during the application process.

Who can I contact if I have any additional requirements or need support in applying?

Will I need to show any documentation during the recruitment process?

You will need to provide proof of your right to work in the UK, for example a Passport. Original documents only will be accepted. We will advise you of the exact documents you will be required to bring with you if you are invited in for an assessment/interview.

Will I need to have a DBS disclosure?

Yes, all our staff will need to have an Enhanced DBS disclosure however we will organise for you to have this done if you are successful at interview. All DBS disclosures are completed prior to you starting work with us. You will be advised of the documentation that you will be required to bring in to Happy Days when we are ready to complete your DBS application.

If I am successful, when can I expect to start work?

We will discuss and agree a start date with you which will depend on whether you are currently working and need to provide notice to your current employer. Full suitability checks will also need to be completed before we can permit you to start work with us.

What are the typical working hours/days?

Our full-time contractual hours are 40 hours per week and part time vacancies will state how many hours on the advert. For more information you will need to call the nursery as they will know the flexibility of the role with regards to hours and days worked. The nursery contact number will be on the advert or it can be found on the individual nursery pages of this website.

Is there a chance to progress professionally with Happy Days?
