Nursery World has this month released its annual quality league table, based on analysis of Ofsted ratings for the largest nursery chains in England.

This years published table sees Happy Days Nurseries feature for the first time as one of the top 20 largest nursery chains in the country. Happy Days Nurseries have entered the arena in fourth position, with 11 Outstanding grades and five Goods.

Director of Childcare & Education for Happy Days, Jo Beighton said: “We are delighted that Happy Days Nurseries is currently recognised as one of the top five companies in the country to be delivering outstanding childcare and education. The last seven years, in particular, have been a huge journey for our 423 staff. Everyone has become an ambassador for the Happy Days Child. It is their belief and ‘buy in’ which enables the nurseries to deliver high quality care and education for every child and it is to their credit that has led to the achievement of our 11 outstanding Ofsted judgements. As a group we are striving to get every one of our settings judged as “outstanding” by Ofsted. ”

Overall, the Nursery World table highlights the strength of quality in the private and voluntary large group sector, with 96 per cent of nurseries graded either Outstanding or Good.
