Operations Support Manager
Are you an experienced Nursery Manager seeking a new and exciting role?
Happy Days Nurseries are seeking an Operations Support Manager to join our team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Operations Support Manager will provide targeted support to Nursery settings and managers within our Nurseries along the M5 corridor. (Somerset, Bristol area)
In this varied and exciting role you will provide support for nurseries and managers for various reasons and durations, including emergency absence cover, training and induction support and shadowing, business development and quality improvement.
This is a full-time role, and requires regular travel.
Responsibilities –
- Providing temporary management cover for nurseries in both short and long-term assignments.
- To support/deputize for the Early Years Operations Manager with the day-to-day operations of the region
- To support the Early Years Operations Manager with ad-hoc projects
- To act as a mentor for new nursery managers, supporting and guiding them through company induction.
- To support managers in consistently delivering our SHINE Values
- Assist nursery managers/settings in meeting the objectives set within their POW action plans.
- To ensure your designated setting complies with all company policies and procedures
- To ensure your designated setting complies with all EYFS, Welfare Requirements, OFSTED, Health and Safety, and other legislative requirements
- To support managers/settings with OFSTED readiness/preparation
- To support managers/setting to review staff needs in line with occupancy levels to ensure that the nursery is appropriately staffed for anticipated growth
- To support managers/settings reviewing staff induction, probation, and development plans ensuring that all staff training is up-to-date and compliant
- To support managers/settings with staff retention and succession planning
- To support managers/settings with sales and marketing activities, and· To support managers/settings with cost management including controllable spending and staffing costs
- To support managers/settings in managing debt
- Where required, to support or manage (as appropriate) parent concerns and complaints
- Where required, to be involved with the investigation, disciplinary, and grievance meetings
- Working cohesively with all departments

You will need to hold a minimum of L3 or above in a recognised UK childcare qualification in early years and possess at least 2 years’ experience within a managerial role.
