Maintenance Operative – Hampshire
Happy Days Nurseries is a leading childcare provider in the South West of England.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Maintenance Operative to support the Facilities Manager with general maintenance and projects at Happy Days nurseries across the Hampshire area.
It is a very exciting time to be joining Happy Days with significant growth projected over the coming years with new nurseries and various projects planned. This role will be challenging, rewarding, diverse and enable progression to more senior roles in the near future.

You will be provided with a company vehicle, phone, uniform and all power tools to complete work safely
The successful candidate will be working 5 days a week (Monday – Friday)
Working hours: 8 am to 4:30 pm with 30 minutes lunch (40 Hours per week)
Responsibilities will include:
Main scope of works will include the following:
- Compliance checks to include – Fire Doors, Legionella & Emergency Lighting
- General repairs (carpentry, plumbing and building)
- Projects such as replacement decking, fencing & refurbishments
- Grounds maintenance
Knowledge & Skills:
- Proven track record in reactive repairs or dedicated trade
- Willingness to adapt and undertake new tasks
- An ability to work to deadlines and under pressure where appropriate
- Full UK driving licence
- Willing to travel to multiple sites (in company vehicle)
- Work around young children safely.
- Undertake a full, Enhanced DBS check with Baring List Check.
