Happy Days Nurseries & Pre-Schools are inviting parents to join them at one of their nurseries for their Summer Open Day, It’s More Than Just Play!
Parents will be able to discover how play is at the heart of our innovative “Where Children Shine” early years curriculum, providing opportunities for children to learn, explore, and discover while attending nursery. The curriculum values children as unique, strong, and resilient individuals and recognises that play is a fundamental aspect of a child’s learning and development.
The open day is being held across all sites* on 22 June 2024, 10:00 – 13:00, and is the perfect opportunity to celebrate our colleagues and all that they do to ensure all children have the best possible start in life, enabling them to reach their full potential in becoming strong and motivated learners for life.
During the open day families will:

100 Miles in May raising money for Cancer Research

Emma is part of the Happy Days Nurseries & Pre-Schools team at Lyde Green and is currently raising money for Cancer Research. Her challenge is to walk 100 Miles in May. Starting yesterday, Emma managed to do 1.5 miles by doing laps around the garden with the Happy Days children.
She explained to them that she was doing a challenge where people give money to make poorly people better. They sang ‘grand old Duke of York’ throughout the march and loved it.
Emma’s only got £52 left to reach her £150 target, after already raising £98, with £16.25 gift aid.
Emma voiced ‘It’s a cause very close to my heart as my mum has had a very rare 1 in a million type of cancer 3 times and after a harrowing experience chemo and a coma, she is now doing really well. My nan passed away from cervical cancer. I have had pre-cancerous cervical cells removed. My uncle is currently battling cancer. My friend survived throat cancer. It is now 1 in 2 of us that will get this horrible disease. It was 1 in 4 only a couple of years ago.’

Happy Days Nurseries opened their doors for their ‘It’s More Than Just Play’ Open Day discovering how play is at the heart of our innovative “Where Children Shine” early years curriculum.
The open day included a host of Interactive activities for children to explore and learn through play.
Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School, Lyde Green are opening their doors for their March Open Day, celebrating British Science Week and raising funds for Children’s Hospice South West
The nursery team at Happy Days Lyde Green is looking forward to welcoming families into its nursery for the first open day of 2024! On 16 March 2024, doors will open between 10:00 – 13:00 and all are welcome, new and existing parents, friends, family, and the local community. There will be lots of fun activities for all ages!
With British Science Week 2024 upon us, the open day will include a host of science, technology, engineering, and maths activities around the theme of ‘Time’. It is the 30th Anniversary of British Science Week and they are celebrating this milestone by thinking about time since the week began and looking to the future!
It is also the perfect time for any new parents looking to secure a place for April 2024, to come and view their nurseries and learn more about the new government funded hours for working parents with children aged 2. Their friendly colleagues will be on hand to answer any questions about funding from how to access it, to the impact on fees. In recognition of Friendship Month our nurseries held community events, celebrating what friendship brings to all our lives every day!
Along with fun and interactive activities for the whole family to enjoy, attendees could meet our nursery teams, have a tour of the fantastic facilities, and have a family portrait taken, just in time for Christmas.
We also held two exclusive offers – Enrol on the day and pay no registration fees, and Recommend a friend for our existing families, who could receive up to £200 off childcare fees!
