Happy Days Nursery Thornbury, situated in South Gloustershire, is celebrating having recently received a GOOD grading from Ofsted.

Happy Days, Thornbury is ideally located close to commuter routes into Bristol and Gloucester and has designated parent parking for ease of drop off and collection. It’s a purpose built, one level nursery with direct garden access. Located within Thornbury community, with a library and park nearby, the children often get out to enjoy environmental walks. Designed for children’s independence with free-flow access to outdoors, allowing children to become active and confident learners.

The Ofsted report highlights that ‘Leaders and staff provide children with a positive nursery experience. Upon starting at the nursery, leaders tailor a settling-in process to the needs of each family. This helps children to have a smooth transition and ensures that parents are happy that their children’s needs are being met. This bespoke transition process continues throughout the nursery as children move to different playrooms. All children are safe and secure and very well settled..’

Furthermore, the report acknowledged that ‘Leaders have worked hard through a number of changes to ensure they provide inclusive, high-quality care for children. There is a rigorous recruitment and induction procedure in place to ensure staff are suitable to work with children and that they can meet the expected standards for practice..’

Fiona Blackwell, Operations Director, stated, “This is a fantastic achievement for Darlene and the team who have been instrumental in turning this nursery around and creating a fantastic environment for both children and our colleagues”

The nursery has a limited number of places available and parents are encouraged to contact the nursery as soon as possible to secure their place. Contact Thornbury on 01454 419 911 or email thornbury@happydaysnurseries.com
