Keeping Your
Child Safe
There’s nothing more important than the safety of those in our care.
Health & Safety
At Happy Days we have robust policies and procedures in place which ensure our nurseries are both safe and secure for the children in our care, their families, our staff team as well as those visiting our nurseries.
Our staff teams are trained in Health and Safety as part of their induction and there is continuous ongoing training to ensure that they have a robust understanding of their health and safety responsibilities. Some examples of this training include Food Safety & Food Allergies, Fire Awareness, Risk Assessments and Manual Handling, all of which make certain that our nurseries remain safe and secure as well as meeting all current safety legislation.
On a daily basis, staff conduct Health and Safety checks of both the indoor and outdoor nursery environments. Annual Health and Safety Audits are conducted by our external Health and Safety Consultants.
First Aid
Staff access face-to-face First Aid training every three years through our external training provider which specialises in the delivery of First Aid for the Childcare Industry. Our current First Aid training schedule means that we exceed the legal requirement for the number of first aiders on site .
Happy Days’ number one priority is the protection and welfare of the children within our care.
Safeguarding
Happy Days’ Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy ensures that children within our care are kept safe at all times as well as setting out the procedures we will follow when there are concerns about a child’s safety or well-being.
All staff complete Safeguarding training as part of their induction and attend ongoing training which protects and safeguards the children in our care.
