Nurseries

We opened our first nursery in 1991 and now operate 29 nurseries throughout the South West and Wales!

With over thirty years of expert experience and an ethos to support children to become strong and motivated learners for life, we pride ourselves on providing a service to enable parents to work and live their daily lives knowing their children are cherished and cared for to the highest standard.

We take care of almost 2,000 children at our nurseries every day and employ nearly 500 personnel. We pride ourselves on being a proven equal opportunities employer with a robust training and wellbeing culture.

Celebrating Over 30 Years of Happy Days Nurseries

  • Happy Days Nursery opens it’s first setting in Newquay, Cornwall.

  • Happy Days Nursery opens new settings in Falmouth, St Austel, Summercourt and Treloweth.

  • Happy Days Nursery opens its first of eventually four Truro nurseries, Penair and Truro City.

  • Happy Days Nursery opens its smallest but mightiest nursery at St Minver, near Rock.

  • Happy Days Nursery opens its third Truro nursery – Happy Days Playbox – the nursery first to have it’s own orchard.

  • Happy Days Nursery opens its first nursery in Devon, welcome to the family Happy Days Nursery, Plymouth.

  • Happy Days Nursery opens its second Devonshire nursery in Exeter as well as it’s first in Bristol in Bradley Stoke.

  • In 2015 Happy Days Nursery opened its second Bristol nursery in Cheswick Village.

  • Happy Days opens it’s next 8 place nursery in in Thornbury. Bristol. 2017 also saw Happy Days open it’s first nursery in Dorset – hello Poole!

  • This was a very busy vear! Another new geographic location for Happy Days this time it’s Wiltshire. Happy Days Nursery in Swindon opened in the June of 2018. Swindon was swiftly followed by two more nursery openings at Weston-super-Mare and Bath.

  • Happy Days opens its fourth Bristol located nursery – Lyde Green.

  • Happy 30th Birthday to Happy Days Nurseries! Here’s to the remainder of 2021 and the next 30 years!

  • Thanks to an investment from Private Equity Firm Zetland, Happy Days was able to plan for the next level of growth.

  • Happy Days has its busiest year to date with the opening of 3 more nurseries’; Salisbury, Charlton Heights and Droitwich Spa. Two new nursery acquisitions also make a welcome addition to the Happy Days Group, The Hollies in Cardiff, Wales, and The Yew Tree in Yeovil, Somerset.

  • Happy Days expands into more new areas of the country with the acquisition of two Toddletown nurseries located in Surrey and Mulberry Corner Nursery located in Hampshire. A brand new purpose built nursery in Verwood also opened its doors.
