Food from Around the World | Free Activities Week at Happy Days Thornbury

We’re delighted to invite families to Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School, Thornbury for a fun-packed week of free activities celebrating Food from Around the World!
This special week is designed to:
⭐ Inspire children’s curiosity and creativity
⭐ Celebrate culture and diversity
⭐ Explore the wonderful world of food through play, discovery, and shared experiences
Each day offers a themed activity for families to enjoy together, from food tasting and cooking to creative play, gardening fun, and picnics. It’s a wonderful chance to join in, make memories, and see what life at Happy Days is all about.
What’s on each day
Marvelous Mealtimes Monday – 6 Oct, 10–11am
Enjoy Handa’s Surprise fruit tasting and explore water play with flavoured tea bags, cups, and saucers.
Tapas Tuesday – 7 Oct, 10–11am
Get hands-on making spring rolls and samosas with our chef and create world flags.
Wellness Wednesday – 8 Oct, 10–11am
Move, stretch, and create together with Let’s Move! and Let’s Cook! activities.
Transportation Thursday – 9 Oct, 10–11am
Dig into a tough tray filled with soil, farm animals, tractors, and vegetables — complete with spades for exploring!
Fabulous Food Fest Friday – 10 Oct, 3–4pm
Round off the week with a special afternoon tea picnic.
📍 All activities are free, but spaces are limited!
But it’s not just about the activities, it’s also a chance for families to:

🏫 Tour the nursery in action, seeing how our environments support learning, play, and development every day.
💬 Ask any questions about funding, from government entitlements to our all-inclusive SHINE at Happy Days package.
Alongside the fun, families who attend will also have the opportunity to enrol without paying the enrolment fee, a fantastic way to join our community while saving on nursery costs.
