Food from Around the World | Free Activities Week at Happy Days Truro City

We’re delighted to welcome families to Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School, Truro City for a fun-filled week of free activities celebrating Food from Around the World!

This exciting week is designed to:
– Spark children’s curiosity
– Celebrate diversity and culture
– Explore the wonderful world of food through play and discovery

Each day offers a themed programme of activities, from taste-testing and creative crafts to yoga and sensory play. Families can join in the fun, spend quality time together, and discover more about life at Happy Days.

What’s happening each day…
Marvellous Mealtimes Monday – 6 Oct, 9:30-10:30am
Dive into orange & grapefruit water trays, enjoy fruit tasting, and make your own fruit kebabs.
Tapas Tuesday – 7 Oct, 10-11am
Get creative with spice-scented playdough and flag making.
Wellness Wednesday – 8 Oct, 2-3pm
Stretch and relax with yoga, mindfulness, and movement activities.
Transportation Thursday – 9 Oct, 5-6pm
Explore farm animal tuff trays with vegetables and sensory play.
Fabulous Food Fest Friday – 10 Oct, 3.30-4.30pm
Celebrate the week with a cultural picnic featuring foods from around the world!

📍 All activities are free to attend, but spaces are limited.

But it’s not just about the activities, it’s also a chance for families to:
👩‍🏫 Meet our team and get to know the passionate practitioners who make our nursery so special.
🏫 Tour the nursery in action, seeing how our environments support learning, play, and development every day.
💬 Ask any questions about funding, from government entitlements to our all-inclusive SHINE at Happy Days package.

Alongside the fun, families who attend will also have the opportunity to enrol without paying the enrolment fee, a fantastic way to join our community while saving on nursery costs.
