Food from Around the World | Free Activities Week at Yate

We’re excited to welcome families to Yate for a week of free activities celebrating Food from Around the World!

This fun week is all about:
⭐  Inspiring children’s curiosity and creativity
⭐  Exploring tastes, textures, and cultures
⭐  Enjoying hands-on learning experiences across different age groups

Each day has a themed activity designed for specific age ranges, giving children the chance to explore food in playful, creative, and sensory ways. Families can join the fun, spend time together, and discover more about life at Yate.

What’s on each day

Marvelous Mealtimes Monday – 6 Oct, 9:30–10:30am
Splash and explore with lemon & lime water play.

Tapas Tuesday – 7 Oct, 2–3pm
Get creative making flags from around the world.

Wellness Wednesday – 8 Oct, 9:30–10:30am
Stretch, move, and connect with yoga and sing & sign.

Transportation Thursday – 9 Oct, 10–11am
Explore small world farms outdoors and enjoy junk modelling indoors.

Fabulous Food Fest Friday – 10 Oct, 2:30–3:30pm
Celebrate with fruit kebabs and a picnic tea.

📍 All activities are free, but spaces are limited!

But it’s not just about the activities, it’s also a chance for families to:
👩‍🏫 Meet our team and get to know the passionate practitioners who make our nursery so special.
🏫 Tour the nursery in action, seeing how our environments support learning, play, and development every day.
💬 Ask any questions about funding, from government entitlements to our all-inclusive SHINE.

Alongside the fun, families who attend will also have the opportunity to enrol without paying the enrolment fee, a fantastic way to join our community while saving on nursery costs.
