At Happy Days Nurseries & Pre-Schools, we know that strong relationships with families are at the heart of everything we do. Recently, parents at Happy Days Salisbury showed their appreciation in a particularly thoughtful way, surprising the team with flowers and treats to say thank you for their hard work and dedication.
The gesture meant a great deal to the team, but what touched everyone even more were the heartfelt messages parents shared about the impact our practitioners have on their children’s lives.
One parent reflected on the emotional experience of returning to work after maternity leave, explaining how the team helped make the transition smoother than they could have imagined. They shared how quickly their child settled and how reassured they felt knowing their child was surrounded by warmth and care.
Others spoke about the bonds their children have formed with their key people, describing practitioners who go above and beyond to support children’s confidence, creativity and wellbeing. Parents highlighted everything from imaginative play experiences and engaging activities, to thoughtful handovers at the end of the day that help families feel connected to their child’s nursery life.
Families also recognised the many people who help the nursery run smoothly, including the kitchen team who provide nutritious meals each day and the front-of-house team who greet families and keep everything organised.
One parent summed it up beautifully, sharing that their child comes home every day with a huge smile after a fun and happy day at nursery.
Moments like this are a powerful reminder of the important role early years professionals play in children’s development and in supporting families through the early stages of parenthood.
We are incredibly proud of our team and grateful to the families who took the time to share such kind words. Their support and appreciation mean the world.
