Get Ready for Happy Days Fest at Thornbury – A Summer Celebration for All!
We’re thrilled to invite families in and around Thornbury to join us for Happy Days Fest, our biggest and most exciting summer Open Day yet, happening on Saturday 21st June 2025, from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School in Thornbury.
This vibrant, festival-themed event is tailor-made for children under 5 and promises a morning full of music, laughter, and discovery. It’s the perfect chance for families to connect with our caring team and see what makes Happy Days Thornbury such a wonderful place to grow.
🎉 What to Expect at Happy Days Fest in Thornbury:
Adventures 2:
Get creative at our face painting station and dive into our lucky dip!
Explore rainbow playdough fun and join in on festival crafts.
Adventures 1:
Craft your own flower headbands, join in a lively Boogie Mites session, and enjoy some summer water play.
Explorers 2:
Dance with colourful scarves and make your own shakers or musical instruments for a musical adventure.
Explorers 1:
Design and create bracelets and necklaces to take home.
🌟 Special Highlights:
Our meeting room will be transformed into a karaoke disco, complete with lights and props—perfect for little (and grown-up) pop stars!
Take aim in the garden with “Splat the Deputy”—a sure hit with children and parents alike.
An ice cream van will be on hand to serve up summer treats.
A local farmer will bring a tractor for children to explore and learn about the world of farming.
We’re also hoping to fire up the BBQ for a tasty addition to the day.
Don’t miss our classic “How Many Sweets in the Jar?” game in the foyer—a fun challenge for the whole family.

It’s a chance for families to come together, meet our friendly team, and experience firsthand what makes Happy Days Bath such a special place to grow and shine.

Adventurers Room:
Shake things up by making maracas and colourful wristbands.
Explore a sensory tuff tray full of “Glasto Fest” fun, rainbow play dough, and “Fruits from Around the World” for a taste of global discovery.
Discoverers Room:
Enjoy creative sessions like face painting, making musical instruments, rainbow ribbons, powder paint painting, and exciting outdoor garden games.
Explorers Room:
Get creative with flag making and enjoy classic fairground games.
Discover lights, sensory dens and tents, and water play for endless summer smiles.
🌈 Garden Delights:
Pop-up tents and music will fill the garden with festival vibes—perfect for a family day out!
Special guest: Henna by Ghufran offering beautiful, age-appropriate designs.

Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School, Bath are opening their doors for their March Open Day, celebrating British Science Week and raising funds for Children’s Hospice South West
The nursery team at Happy Days Bath is looking forward to welcoming families into its nursery for the first open day of 2024! On 9 March 2024, doors will open between 10:00 – 13:00 and all are welcome, new and existing parents, friends, family, and the local community. There will be lots of fun activities for all ages!
With British Science Week 2024 upon us, the open day will include a host of science, technology, engineering, and maths activities around the theme of ‘Time’. It is the 30th Anniversary of British Science Week and they are celebrating this milestone by thinking about time since the week began and looking to the future!
It is also the perfect time for any new parents looking to secure a place for April 2024, to come and view their nurseries and learn more about the new government funded hours for working parents with children aged 2. Their friendly colleagues will be on hand to answer any questions about funding from how to access it, to the impact on fees. There will also be a special offer for any new parent that enrols on the day!
