Happy Days Nursery Charlton Heights Food Bank Donation for Red Nose Day 2025
Happy Days Nursery Charlton Heights has once again demonstrated its commitment to community support with a food bank donation for Red Nose Day 2025. The nursery encouraged families to contribute essential food items to St. Chad’s Food Bank, helping local people in need.
Happy Days Nursery Charlton Heights Supports Food Bank Donation
Between 21st and 31st March, families at Happy Days Nursery Charlton Heights donated much-needed supplies, including Easter eggs, fruit juice, tinned ham, long-life milk, tinned tomatoes, packet rice, dog food, instant coffee, and tinned vegetables. These items were carefully selected based on the Food Bank’s requests to support individuals and families facing hardship.
Children Deliver Food Bank Donations to St. Chad’s Church
On Thursday, 3rd April, the pre-school children took an active role in delivering the donations, proudly pushing a trolley filled with goods from the nursery to St. Chad’s Church. Upon arrival, they were met with a warm welcome from Rev. David Brae, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude:
“We are so grateful for the kindness you have shown. It will make such a difference to people’s lives. These are tough times, and your generosity lets those who are struggling know that there are people who care. Thank you so much.”
A Lesson in Kindness and Community
Stephanie Jones, Nursery Manager, shared how meaningful the experience was for the children:
“It was wonderful watching the children see the donations grow each day and hearing them walk past saying, ‘Wow!’ We spoke to them about the importance of helping those in need. Kindness and compassion are values that run through everything we do at our nursery.”
