Poppy Competition Announcement ✨🌹

We’re excited to invite everyone to take part in our Poppy Competition to honour Remembrance Day and bring generations together through creativity and remembrance. Whether you choose to paint, draw, or craft your own poppy, we want to see your unique designs that celebrate the importance of this special day.

We are proud to have Verwood House Care Home as our judges, helping us connect our community and honour those who sacrificed for us all.

The winner will be announced on Tuesday 11th November – Remembrance Day.

📅 Last date for entries is Friday 8th November – so be sure to bring your completed creations to us before then!

Keep an eye on our socials for photos of the amazing poppy artwork submitted by all ages. Together, we remember, reflect, and celebrate the spirit of Remembrance Day.

Children will journey through different sensory stations that bring the story to life – from rustling grass and squelchy mud to sparkling rivers and a snowstorm, all leading to a friendly bear surprise!

Making Transient Art Christmas Cards – Over 3’s Event at Verwood🎄

Join us at Verwood Nursery for a magical festive activity designed especially for our over 3’s! Children will explore the joy of transient art – a creative, hands-on experience using loose parts like pinecones, stones, buttons, and wooden Christmas cut-outs to design the front cover of their very own Christmas card.

📅 Friday 1st December | 🕒 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM

This sensory-rich session encourages imagination, fine motor skills, and creative thinking as little hands arrange and experiment with natural and festive materials. Once their designs are just right, we’ll help turn them into a unique card they can take home and treasure.

Remembrance Day Poppy Competition | Verwood

At Happy Days Nursery Verwood, we are proud to honour Remembrance Day with a special poppy display at the front of our nursery, created by our wonderful children and staff. 🌹

As part of this, we’re inviting all our children to take part in a creative competition by designing and making their own poppy to add to the display.

📅 Competition starts: Monday 3rd November
📅 Winner announced: Tuesday 11th November – on Remembrance Day

We’re excited to share that the winning poppy will be chosen by the residents of Verwood House Care Home, bringing generations together in a beautiful act of remembrance. ✨

We warmly welcome families and the local community to stop by, view the display, and join us in remembering all those who have served.

Coffee Morning in Support of Macmillan Cancer Support! 🍰☕

We’re hosting a warm and welcoming coffee morning to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, an amazing charity providing vital care and support to people affected by cancer.
