Happy Days Nurseries and Pre-Schools is delighted to be expanding its portfolio further with the acquisition of Edward Bears Private Daycare, increasing their portfolio to 36 settings across the South and South West.
Edward Bears, nestled in the heart of the Cotswold’s, provides a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children from birth to 5 years old. Their home-from-home facility is designed with the safety and well-being of children in mind, featuring bright, spacious classrooms, secure play areas, and a large 13-place private car park for families to drop off and pick up from. Also conveniently located adjacent to the beautiful St. Michel’s Park, where children can explore and connect with nature.
Kim Herbert, Chief Executive Officer for Happy Days Nurseries and Pre-Schools commented, “As soon as we met Theresa and viewed her fantastic nursery we knew this was a setting we wanted to be associated with as their values and beliefs of providing children with the very best care and education align with our own. The staff team at Edwards Private Daycare will remain in place and we look forward to working with them to support children to become strong and motivated learners for life and provide a top-class service to enable parents to work and live their daily lives knowing their children are cherished and cared for to the highest standard.”
Fiona Blackwell, Chief Operation Officer, added, “We are delighted to be expanding our portfolio again with the acquisition of this fantastic nursery whose ethos of nurturing children in a warm, friendly environment aligns with our own, and we are looking forward to building on this.”
Theresa Lang, outgoing owner of Edward Bears, said: “Edward Bears has always been about creating a safe, nurturing, and joyful environment where children can thrive, and I am incredibly proud of the team who make that possible every day.”
Choosing Happy Days to take Edward Bears forward was an easy decision. Their values, reputation, and commitment to quality give me complete confidence that the nursery and its dedicated team will continue to flourish.
While it is bittersweet to say goodbye as I step into semi‑retirement, I know the setting is in excellent hands — and with Happy Days, every day will continue to be a truly happy one.”
