Grand Opening Celebrations at Happy Days Yeovil: New Baby Unit Officially Unveiled by Deputy Mayor
Happy Days Nurseries & Pre-Schools is delighted to announce the official opening of the new baby unit and garden at Happy Days Yeovil. The special event was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by the Deputy Mayor of Yeovil – Tony Lock, bringing together families, staff, and local community members to celebrate this exciting new chapter for the nursery.
Formerly known as Yew Tree Nursery, the Yeovil setting has recently joined the Happy Days family and undergone a significant refurbishment. The transformation has created bright, fresh, and inspiring spaces, perfectly designed to nurture children’s natural curiosity and creativity. The newly refurbished areas include a beautiful garden with a dedicated baby area and an inspiring art studio, specially created for messy play and hands-on learning experiences.
Happy Days Yeovil provides care for children aged 3 months to 5 years within a stunning converted building. With safe and secure environments, including designated parent parking for easy drop-offs and collections, the nursery offers families peace of mind and children a place where they can grow, explore, and thrive.
The nursery is also proud of its strong community connections, including regular visits with local schools and care homes—providing meaningful experiences that help children build confidence and develop their sense of belonging.
Karen D’Aguilar, Head of Sales and Marketing at Happy Days, said: “We are delighted to be officially opening our new baby unit, providing a dedicated space, designed to provide the highest quality care for our youngest children and their families. This state-of-the-art facility reflects our ongoing commitment to providing inspiring care and education to the local community, nurturing every child to become a learner for life, enabling their future success. Thank you to Kylie and her team for organising a fantastic event and for all their hard work, passion and dedication to their children and families. And finally, a special thank you to Tony Lock, the Deputy Mayor, for cutting the ribbon and declaring our new baby unit now officially open!”
Kylie Mitchell, Nursery Manager at Happy Days Yeovil, added: “All of us here at Happy Days Yeovil our very proud of the new unit.
