Story Land – March Open Day | Look What You Missed!

All* of our nurseries were excited to open their doors on Saturday, 1st March, from 10am to 1pm. In honour of World Book Day, this year’s Open Day had a brand-new theme, ‘Story Land’, which we were thrilled for visitors to experience.

Open Day Activities:

– Enjoyed Enchanting Storybook-Themed Spaces
– Engaged with Interactive Story Stations
– Met Our Amazing Team
– Celebrated World Book Day Together
– Received Complimentary Book Tokens

There were fantastic activities set up for children to enjoy while parents took advantage of this wonderful opportunity to meet our incredible team, explore our excellent facilities, learn about our curriculum, discover funding options, and ask any questions.

Families discovered the magic of nature at our Autumn Open Day, where they explored our indoor and outdoor play areas and took part in engaging camping-themed activities.

What Happened:

Let’s Grow: Children got messy and explored the wonders of nature with autumn-themed planting and sensory activities.
Wanderlust: Little adventurers embarked on a mini-adventure filled with autumn leaves, scavenger hunts, and outdoor exploration.
Yoga: Kids stretched, breathed, and moved their bodies like playful autumn animals in a fun yoga session.
Sing and Sign: Families sang along to catchy songs with autumn signs, supporting early communication and development.
Let’s Move: Everyone got active with an autumn obstacle course and playful movement activities.

How Our Curriculum Came to Life:

✅ Engaged young minds and bodies through interactive, hands-on learning.
✅ Encouraged social interaction and teamwork in a fun, autumnal setting.
✅ Sparked creativity and imagination with stimulating activities.
✅ Nurtured a love for learning through play and exploration.

Our ‘Come Camping with Us’ event gave families the chance to enjoy camping activities in the comfort of the nursery environment. Using their maps, children navigated to different activities, making it a true adventure!

The Autumn Open Day took place across all sites on Saturday, 5 October, from 10:00 – 13:00. It was a fantastic day for the whole community, with both indoor and outdoor activities ensuring that everyone had a great time—rain or shine!

Happy Days Nurseries opened their doors for their ‘It’s More Than Just Play’ Open Day discovering how play is at the heart of our innovative “Where Children Shine” early years curriculum.

The open day included a host of Interactive activities for children to explore and learn through play.

Happy Days Nurseries opened their doors for their It’s Time Open Day on March 2nd, celebrating British Science Week and raising funds for Children’s Hospice South West

The open day included a host of science, technology, engineering and maths activities around the theme of ‘Time’. It was the 30^th Anniversary of British Science Week and they were celebrating this milestone thinking about looking to the future!

In recognition of Friendship Month our nurseries held community events, celebrating what friendship brings to all our lives every day!

Along with fun and interactive activities for the whole family to enjoy, attendees could meet our nursery teams, have a tour of the fantastic facilities, and have a family portrait taken, just in time for Christmas.

We also held two exclusive offers – Enrol on the day and pay no registration fees, and Recommend a friend for our existing families, who could receive up to £200 off childcare fees!

Families joined us for a host of fun sporty activities for all ages!

Children collected a passport, obtained a stamp for each activity they participated in and received a goody bag at the end.

Plus, everyone that attended our open day were entered into our Free Prize Draw to win a hamper full of family sports equipment worth over £200!
